Over 700 people have been evacuated from their homes on the island of La Palma after a stream of lava moved towards their homes.
Authorities yeseterday afternoon ordered between 700 and 800 inhabitants of La Laguna to leave their homes with their belongings and pets, as concerns grew over the movement of the latest lava flow from the Cumbre Vieja volcano.
Homeowners had until 6pm last night to collect their belongings and to evacuate their homes.
Yesterday saw another day of strong earthquakes in the region, with 64 seismic movements recorded, the strongest measuring 4.1.
La Palma Eruption
The evacuation came hours after an earlier stay indoors order was relaxed after lava engulfed a cement factory in the area.
Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez is due on the island today to monitor the effects of the eruption, as well as to chair the latest emergency committee meeting.
