AEMET issues amber heat warning for Costa Blanca

Meteorological agency AEMET has issued an amber weather warning for extremes of heat, as the current heat wave continues.

Temperature are expected to reach 40 ºC in places, with the hottest part of the day between 1pm and 7pm.

Emergency services have also issue am amber warning for an increased risk of forest fires, with people being advised to remain vigilant in at risk areas.

Whilst the temperatures are at their peak, health officials have reminded all of the importance of remaining hydrated, whilst also taking shade from the heat if needed.
