Coronavirus: Those aged 60 – 69 likely to be offered booster shots

People aged between 60 to 69 are likely to be offered coronavirus booster jabs in the coming weeks, after the Government’s panel of vaccine experts approved plans.

Health workers will also be offered the booster shots in an effort to curb an increase in the number of infections that are being reported across the country.The

Minister of Health – Carolina Darias – and regional counterparts will have the final say on the vaccine roll out, and are due to meet in the coming days.

So far 2.7 million booster jabs have been administered to those aged over 69 and who are medically vulnerable.
