Cruise ships are to return to Spain from the 7th June, the Transport Ministry has announced.
The government banned cruise ships from docking in its ports in June 2020 as the pandemic ripped through Europe.
However maritime authorities approved the reopening due to falling Covid-19 rates and an increase in vaccinations, according to an order in state gazette published on Saturday.
Ships docking in Spain will have to follow strict guidelines, and passengers will be required to meet the legal safeguards before entering.
Before the coronavirus pandemic, Spain was the second most popular cruise destination in Europe.
