A Cuban political protestor has arrived in Spain following a clampdown on a planned protest that was being organised in the communist run country.
Yunior Garcia and his wife landed at Madrid’s Barajas airport on Wednesday afternoon after dissapearing from social media at the start of the week when their planned protest was blocked by authorities in Havana.
The Spanish Government have granted a 90-day visa for Mr Garcia and his wife. He fled the Cuba after trying to organise a demonstration over food supplies and curbs on civil liberties.
Cuban authorities have claimed without evidence that he is working with the United States to overthrow the Cuban government – claims both have refuted.
