Landmarks passed in Canarian vaccination drive

The Canarian Government has announced that 28% of the archipelago’s population is now fully immunized against the coronavirus, whilst over 50% of the population has had at least one dose of the vaccine.

524,362 people have now received both doses of the vaccine – or one dose of the Janssen drug, whilst 948,801 people have been given at least their first jab.

On Monday and yesterday, a further 110,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine arrived in the Canaries for distribution in the coming days.
