Lane closures on GC-2 to be removed earlier in works agreement

Works on improving the ring road around the island of Gran Canaria have been given the go ahead to increase pace, with construction teams doubling the levels of construction in the coming months.

Minister of Public Works, Transport and Housing of the Government of the Canary Islands, Sebastián Franquis, signed the agreement with officials to proceed with phase IV of the works, improving the road connection between the GC-2 and GC-3 roads.

Currently lane restrictions are in place along the stretch causing delays. These works should see the full carriageway in Bañaderos reopen up to a week earlier than planned.
