New bus stops being constructed in Lanzarote

New bus shelters in Lanzarote are being erected as part of an ongoing improvement to public transport on the island.

During a site visit yesterday, the Cabildo de Lanzarote’s Minister of Transport, Nerea Santana, inspected one of the new structures that is being built.

Three new stops are being built in Yaiza and Puerto del Carmen, and will feature solar powered lighting and are built using sustainable materials.

Works are expected to continue on the three new stops until June, with a budget of €98,000.
