Rental market set to see thousands of new properties

17,000 build-to-rent apartments are due to be built in Spain in the next two years – thats according to a study published yesterday by BNP Paribas Real Estate.

That figure is set to rise to around 85,000 by 2028 the study suggests.

A shortage in rental stock is the main driving force behind the increase in construction, with currently less than a quarter of properties built for the rental market.
