The Valencian Community, Andalusia, Extremadura, Navarra and Aragon have launched the new Covid green passport digital certificate system, which will allow visitors to confirm they are fully vaccinated.
These regions join Galicia and Castilla y León who were the pilot regions – its expected that the rest of the country will launch their systems before the end of the month.
The system is recognised across the EU as a valid proof of vaccination, in an effort to kick-start the continents tourism sector.
Meanwhile the government has launched a new website for those travelling here from abroad, in an effort to help visitors understand restrictions in various regions due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Launched on the same day that restrictions were relaxed for international travellers, the site includes an interactive map and comprehensive guides for people planning on holidaying in Spain.
