Unemployment in Spain has fallen by 127,000 people in the third quarter of the year, according to official data released yeserday by the National Statistics Agency – the INE.
Over 20 million people in Spain are now in employment, with 359,300 new jobs created in the last three months.
The quarterly fall is the higest drop since 2018, standing at 3.6% lower than the previous quarter.
Employment in the services sector saw the highest areas of growth, with the last quarter being the second highest increase on record. The highest was in the months after the first lockdown.
Currently 3.14 million people are still out of work, slightly above the last quarter before the coronavirus pandemic.
