Unemployment in Canaries drops by over 5,000 in May

The number of people unemployed in the Canaries has fallen by 5,106 in May according to the latest official figures – a drop of 1.81%.

Currently the number of people unemployed in the archipelago stands at 277,417.

Year on year, the unemployment rate has risen 6.26%, with 16,343 more people out of work compared to this time last year.
